Outside Sales Representative

Dragan Technologies Inc. is a global equal opportunity company that manufactures and develops custom electronic engineered products for the industrial, agricultural, mining and heavy machinery industries. DTI has been in business for 18 plus years and has grown substantially in the last five years.

Our continued growth and development have created a need for an Outside Sales Representative.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, this position will play an integral role in our growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for building additional new business. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position and have a professional manner with the ability to deal with a diverse group of people.

Reports to: President & CEO, Manager

Responsibilities:

  • To build new business and gain new clients
  • Customer visits at client sites as required
  • Networking to build new business and gain new clients
  • Expedite orders by communicating with scheduling, production and shipping
  • Monitor status of orders to ensure delivery timelines are on track
  • Keep clients updated on the status of orders
  • Prepare customer quotes as needed
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Some overnight travel is required

Key Skills:

  • A working understanding the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Flexible at prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people and ability to deal with challenging situations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude an asset

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus
  • Minimum of two (2) years sales experience in the industrial, agricultural, mining and distribution industries.
  • Knowledge of the tools and techniques for effectively working in a defined region, identifying prospective customers, and maintain quality relationships

Renumeration:

Base salary plus commission.
