Electrical Engineer Technologist

SUMMARY

 

As an Electrical Engineer/Technologist, you will be involved with new product designs. You will encompass a broad range of the electrical subsystems and equipment that may include; power electronics, electric propulsion, battery management system, charger, multiplex controls, high voltage and low voltage harness and software integration. As a member of the Engineering Team, your professional expertise will ensure engineering design changes are controlled and conveyed in an orderly manner. Working closely with manufacturing and various departments, you will have a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of the organizational team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for electrical design, including CAD modeling, material and equipment selection
  • Responsible for configuring engineering bill of materials for electrical systems
  • Responsible for electrical hardware and software design validation and testing
  • Conduct or lead electrical design related component failure and risk analysis as assigned
  • Maintained and enforce internal design process, including the Product Development Process, Change Management Process (CMP), Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process and Engineering Design Standards
  • Responsible for maintaining high voltage electrical safety standards
  • Provide technical support as assigned

REQUIREMENTS – EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Engineering degree (Electrical) or Technology Diploma (Electrical) required
  • 3 years or more design experiences
  • Experience with schematics and harness layout using CAD software
  • Working knowledge of power requirements, electrical device technologies, grounding strategies, routing management and circuit protection requirements
  • Familiar with DC/DC, AC/DC topology
  • Familiar with related electrical safety and industry standards
  • Familiar with battery management system software design, validation and implementation is an asset
  • Knowledge of vehicle multiplex programming, PLC programming, MATLAB/Simulink or C experience is considered as an asset
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) tool is considered as an asset
  • Experience in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of MRP system is considered as an asset

Mechanical Engineer Technologist

SUMMARY

 

Mechanical Engineers/Technologists produce specifications for, design, develop, manufacture and install new or modified mechanicalcomponents or systems. Mechanical engineers need to be technically minded, able to demonstrate numerical and scientific ability and have problem-solving skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components, power transmission systems, process piping, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems
  • Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports
  • Prepare mechanical BOMs
  • Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics
  • Design moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for use in manufacturing processes

Production Associate

General Description:

 

The production associate is an entry level position performing a wide range of production tasks within various departments in a team environment. Production associates are in charge of ensuring correct quality control of materials and end products produced by the company, as well as overseeing the quantities and types of materials used to create these products. They are also responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to the production supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble goods on production lines

  • Store goods and raw materials properly in our stockrooms
  • Use a pallet jack and forklift truck to fulfill orders

Quality Assurance

General Description:

 

A Quality Assurance Associate ensures that DTI products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach our customers. The Quality Assurance Associate will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance and meets DTI and customer expectations. The Quality Assurance Associate must have an observant eye for detail. They must fully understand the requirements for the products or services and have a responsibility towards our potential and existing customers. Their goal is to preserve DTI’s reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth. The Quality Assurance Associate will also be responsible for ensuring continual quality improvement within DTI. They must have a strong background in quality management and exceptional leadership abilities.

 

Reports to: Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met

Purchasing Specialist

General Description:

 

A Purchasing Specialist can analyze our current buying systems and create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. The Purchasing Specialist will order supplies, equipment and parts based on company needs. Must have the ability to research new vendors, track deliveries, and update the Order Board. Purchasing Specialist will be required to help in the quoting of new customer orders. Must be familiar with supply chain procedures and know how to create and translate cost analysis. The ultimate function of a Purchasing Specialist is to make cost effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory to meet customer demands.

 

Reports to: Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Submit detailed reports to the Manager
  • Research potential new vendors and perform a risk analysis
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery of all products
  • Update internal database with order details including vendor details, estimated delivery times, quantities etc.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends

Shipping Associate

CURRENTLY, WE ARE NOT HIRING THIS POSITION.

 

General Description:

 

The shipping associate is responsible for monitoring the merchandise leaving the company's warehouse. This could include creating shipping documents, such as invoices and purchase orders, and pulling inventory from the shelves. Once an order has been filled, you're responsible for monitoring each shipment to make sure that outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately. You may then need to print shipping labels, schedule pick-ups, and ensure that each package has the proper postage. The company requires you to complete all of these tasks quickly enough to meet the company's production quotas. You will have to use a scale and, in some cases, a forklift to perform these job duties. The shipping associate will handle both initial shipping and any returns or replacements. When necessary they will cross train and participate in other aspects of the business, particularly on the production side.

Responsibilities:

  • Print daily sales PO’s that are completed and ready for shipment
  • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
  • Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped
  • Affix proper paperwork to each package in preparation for shipping
  • Processing orders based on the buyer’s preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
  • Help to maintain the cleanliness of the production floor, including but not limited to cleaning the associate lounge and the associate bathroom

Receiving Associate

General Description:

 

The receiving associate receives, inspects and records shipments of all products entering the company. The receiving associate will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. A receiving associate must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipments as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with management if there are any errors. Their goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately.

 

Reports to: Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with purchasing specialist to list expected deliveries
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
  • Inform both the purchasing specialist and the manger if a mistake is identified
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • When not receiving help out on the production floor
  • Help to maintain the cleanliness of the production floor, including but not limited to cleaning the associate lounge and the associate bathrooms
  • Other duties as assigned
