This unique laser distance measuring device is packaged in our Extra Heavy Duty enclosure, specially designed to withstand all conditions of harsh working environment such as underground mining.

Laser distance sensor module is a new easy way of measuring the real time machine components motion. Millimetre accuracy measurement information can be sent to the processing PLC or computer via digital or analog scalable output. With the mining environment in mind, DTI has developed multiple features sensor enclosure. Terra DP-3 Laser is built tough with a heavy-duty mining grade enclosure to withstand moisture, shock and vibration.

The DTI TERRA DP-3 Laser is a powerful distance measuring instrument, designed for integration into your system.

The DTI TERRA DP-3 Laser delivers accurate distance measurement using the reflection of a laser beam.

Our sensor requires only a quarter sized target to provide solid length measurement. When used in continious tracking mode, it can be used to accuratedly measure position of a machine’s moving parts.

The DTI TERRA DP-3 contactless laser range-finder sensor designed to determine accurate position of the top drive. TheDTI TERRA DP-3 laser device measurements are used to calculate a variety of valuable drilling information:

• Actual Drilling Depth.
• Total Drilling Depth.
• Rate of Penetration,,, etc.


Further intregation with drill’s control systems will provide additional features:

• Automatic stop at desired target depth.
• Safe tramming, only if pipe is out the hole.
• Drilling Data collection… etc.
